BTW, Beagles are my absolute favourite dog breed. I just love those ears!! haha. I'd love to have a dog but just not got the time to care for one properly - hence I have two cats, Smudge and Pip.

Three teachers eh.

Actually Helen, I was a full time teacher up until last June. This is my first time subbing. In case you're wondering I taught for seven years on the North Coast of Labrador. To be precise, Davis Inlet, Natuashish and Nain. Google those name and you'll see the absolute hell....no that's not the word....absolute ninth circle of hell I was in for seven years. Nain wasn't that bad, but Davis and Natuashish...I swear to <insert deity's name here> , Satan had a throne at the Band Council Office. Christ, Baghdad would be easier to handle!
If you're wondering why I left, I was removed in March under the NLTA Employee Assistance Program...I had some difficulty... Well, I'll say this much, if someone tells you a pet can't save your life <LITERALLY>, tell them I disagree.

Skye, nice to meet you...heck nice to meet you all. Its nice to meet a fellow beagle lover. I should post some pics of Caesar on my FB profile. I'll admit, dogs are a handful especially when they are puppies. Caesar is after destroying one pair of sneakers, 6 sets of blinds, 1 quilt, and I've lost count of how many toys and dog blankets...but I wouldn't trade it for anything!

Haha Mike, Caesar sounds like a right old handful albeit your best friend too. I hope you do manage to post some pics of him - would love to see.

Sorry to hear about the hell hole of a job - sounds like you're better off outta there. I'm guessing they were older children right??? You're very brave, I really don't think I could cope with children past 11 years old - way too many hormones and egos for my liking hehe. Come and work over here in a Primary School, it's not a bed of roses but certainly less thorns to deal with by the sounds of it
